Glass House

The Glass House is the epitome of a chilled-out luxury hideaway, opulent in style and decor. Where old meets new, contemporary clean lines with transitional detailing emits the aesthetic of a modern farmhouse.

The 2022 interior trend of the earthy palette and organic textures flow throughout the home and are an enhancement of the original concept, not to mention oak effect beam, mood lighting, painted doors and branded appliances, all to give the Glass House a unique look.

Popular questions about Lodge Ownership
When does Springfield Retreat open and close?
We hold a 52-week Holiday License. This means that we don’t need to close.
Do you have any holiday lodges available for purchase right now?
All lodges are bespoke built, and sited on vacant plots. We have a showhome on site for you to view but it could be available for sale.
Can you design your holiday lodge to suit your personal preferences?
Yes, of course. We offer a bespoke service – which means that lodges can be designed and then custom built by manufacturers to suit your specific requirements but within some obligatory constraints to allow for uniformity of the park environment.
What is the build specification on the lodges?
All our recommended manufacturers build to BS 3632 exacting standards – which are full residential specifications. This means that you’ll be able to use your lodge all year around for holiday purposes and/or as second homes – but not as your primary residence.
Will your lodges come with any warranties?
Most Leisure homes are protected by a 12-month manufacturer’s guarantee. Depending upon your manufacturer, you will also receive a separate warranty for items such as appliances, exterior cladding, windows, doors, roof, facias and guttering.
Decking and verandah manufacturers we recommend typically offer between a 10 to 20 year guarantee.
Will I own the plot of land where your lodge is sited?
No. The plot where the lodge is sited will be placed under a licence.
Are children allowed?
Yes, children are most welcome.
Are Pets Allowed?
Well-behaved dogs are more than welcome.
At Springfield, we have areas where dogs can be safely let off the lead. But they aren’t permitted in front of any of the lodges on the grass and road areas of the park. This is to ensure that a mutual respect is upheld by all lodge owners – whether a dog owner or not
Is broadband available?
Yes
Can I sublet the lodge?
Yes you can and we can manage this for you for a small fee
Can I live on the lodge?
No, all of our lodges are for holiday use only. Lodge owners must provide Springfield Retreat with a proof of permanent residential address.
Can I choose the location of my lodge?
Yes, absolutely.
How quickly can you build a lodge?
Once you order your holiday lodge and choose which manufacturer will build your lodge they will confirm the build time but usually it takes around 60 days to complete.
